Our Mission is to provide support and empower the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual and Transgender Community in a safe and welcoming environment across the North east in order to advance the quality of their lives.

The objectives of this Outreach Project are to:

  • Develop regional support for and with LGBTI+ people in their local communities in order to make the possibilities for people to meet like minded people more realistic, locally.
  • Work with local people to set up strong local LGBTI+ supports in each region,
  • Establish visible LGBTI+ supports in rural areas.
  • Support families of LGBTI+ people working with them to meet their needs
  • Facilitate appropriate support and training for Health and Social Care services.
  • Be a signposting agent for LGBTI+ people.
  • Explore options to improve the lived experience for LGBTI+ people in their locality.
  • Maintain up-to-date information and resources. Developing and maintaining systems for collecting and disseminating information, and resources and local contacts.
  • Highlight LGBTI+ need and promote Outcomers work by representing the organization at regional events and engaging with local media to generate publicity and advertise events.
